PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stand-up assistance device capable of raising a lying person from the floor by using a low-cost and simple mechanism so that the person can easily transfer to a wheelchair, a bed, or the like. SOLUTION: A standing up assist device 1 is composed of a bag that can be inflated by being filled with air, and is inserted into the back of a lying person 4 when it is not filled to fill the air with the lying person 4. Can be lifted from the floor. The bag is capable of lifting the waist portion of the lying person 4 by being filled with air. The height of the head side when the bag is inflated is higher than the height of the thigh side. Preferably, the height of the thigh side when the bag is inflated may be in the range of 300 mm to 650 mm. Furthermore, preferably, the height of the thigh side when the bag is inflated can be in the range of 400 mm to 500 mm.
