<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repellent for flying insect pests comprising a repellent ingredient for the flying insect pests more useful than citronellal and exhibiting excellent repellent effects on the flying insect pests. <；P>；SOLUTION: The repellent for the flying insect pests comprises one or two kinds of terpene alcohols selected from dihydrolinalool, tetrahydrolinalool and dehydrolinalool. Furthermore, one or two or more kinds selected from citronellal, citronellol, citral, geraniol, terpineol, menthol, menthane, p-menthane-3,8-diol, camphene, methyl salicylate, citronella oil, cinnamon oil, eucalyptus oil, lemon eucalyptus oil and white-cedar leaf oil are preferably formulated as the repellent ingredient for the flying insect pests. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
