PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve cusp material that has high biocompatibility while it is inexpensive as compared with the existing artificial valve using glutaraldehyde and to provide a technique for safely producing the valve cusp material.SOLUTION: An apparatus for producing a valve cusp material is an apparatus for producing a valve cusp material used in cardiac valvuloplasty or cardiac valve reconstruction, which comprises: producing means for producing a valve cusp material having biocompatibility strengthening means for strengthening the strength of the valve cusp material measuring means for measuring a size of valve cusp corresponding to the size of cardiac valve and shaping means for shaping the strengthened valve cusp material according to the measured size of valve cusp. In the apparatus, for producing the valve cusp material, a stem cell is established using an autologous or allogenic cell as a raw material the stem cell is differentiated so as to be compatible with the valve cusp and the differentiated cell is cultured.
