Electric wheelchair comprising a foldable chair 10, two front wheels 22, two push bars 18, an electrical power device 30, a foot stand 40, and a control device 50. The chair has two arm rest frames 20 each having a connection board (Fig 2, 24). The electrical power device is detachably connected with the connection boards (24) and has a holding frame (Fig 2, 32), a driving device (Fig 2, 31), and two rear wheels 28. The holding frame has two holding boards (Fig 2, 33) connected with the connection boards (24) by multiple securing assemblies (34) each made up of a holding sleeve (Fig 3, 35) , a connecting rod (Fig 3, 36), a knob (Fig 3, 37), and a spring (Fig 3, 38). The connecting rod (36) is mounted through the holding sleeve (35) with one end extending into a hole in the connection board (24). The knob (37) is secured around the other end of the connecting rod (36).
