The auto-injector has a signal stop and a second spring (10) that are coupled to a signal element (11). The signal element is axially coupled with a propulsion element (7), such that the signal element is stretched during displacement of propulsion element carried in dispensing direction by second spring. The axially fixed coupling between signal element and propulsion element is released. The speed signal element axially coupled with the propulsion element is decoupled from the second spring to the stop signal, such that an acoustic and/or tactile signal is generated.
