A method for obtaining orientation and location of at least one dental implant comprising the following steps: a. obtaining an impression (1203) comprising at least one fixed impression abutment (1202) corresponding to said at least one dental implant (1200), b. obtain predetermined information on the shape of the printing abutment (1202), c. scanning at least a part of said print (1203), wherein said part comprises the at least one printing post (1202) thereby obtaining scanned data, d. determine the orientation and location of the dental implant (1200) based on said predetermined information and on said scanned data.Un método para obtener orientación y localización de al menos un implante dental que comprende los siguientes pasos: a. obtener una impresión (1203) que comprenda al menos un pilar (1202) de impresión fijado correspondiente a dicho al menos un implante dental (1200), b. obtener información predeterminada de la forma del pilar (1202) de impresión, c. escanear al menos una parte de dicha impresión (1203), donde dicha parte comprende el al menos un pilar (1202) de impresión obteniendo de ese modo datos escaneados, d. determinar la orientación y localización del implante dental (1200) basándose en dicha información predeterminada y en dichos datos escaneados.
