PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 5&alpha-reductase inhibitor, a hair grower, a pimple therapeutic agent and a prostate disease therapeutic agent which contain Arcterica nana.
SOLUTION: The extract of Arcterica nana has an excellent 5&alpha-reductase inhibitory action. A hair grower and a pimple treatment ointment containing the extract exhibit excellent hair restoration effect, pimple preventing and treating effect, respectively and have excellent safety and stability. Consequently, the 5&alpha-reductase inhibitor is effective for preventing and treating male pattern alopecia, pimple, prostate disease, etc.
