PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information detection type steering wheel which can excellently detect biological information such as body fat percentage, electrocardiogram, body temperature and skin potential as electric signals from a steering wheel grasping part.SOLUTION: A circular rim 1 of a steering wheel is structured by laminating a surface skin layer 11 on an outermost circumference, a conductive layer 12 set on an inner circumference side of the surface skin layer 11 and having conductivity in the circumferential direction of the rim 1, a steering wheel core material 13 set inside the conductive layer 12, and a foamed body layer 14 filled between the conductive layer 12 and the handle core material 13 in the diameter direction as shown in the figure. Penetrating conductive parts 15 are set to penetrate between the inner and outer circumferences of the surface skin layer 11. The inner ends 15a of the respective penetrating conductive parts 15 on the inner circumference side (lower side in the figure) of the surface skin layer 11 are electrically connected to the conductive layer 12.
