PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method showing an excellent controlling effect to weeds without causing damage from chemicals which poses problems to sugarcane in a sugarcane field.SOLUTION: This method for controlling pests in a sugarcane field is a method for treating at least one herbicide selected from a group comprising ametryn, atrazine, simazine, alachlor, metolachlor, S-metolachlor, asulam, metribuzin, trifluralin, pendimethalin, tebuthiuron, diuron, hexazinone, amicarbazone, imazapic, trifloxysulfuron sodium salt, iodosulfuron methyl sodium salt, halosulfuron methyl, ethoxysulfuron, carfentrazone ethyl, isoxaflutole, bicyclopyrone, picloram and a salt and an ester thereof, 2,4-D and a salt and an ester thereof, dicamba and a salt and an ester thereof, clomazone, MSMA, paraquat, diquat, glufosinate, glufosinate ammonium salt, glufosinate-P and a salt thereof, and glyphosate and a salt thereof, in a field before or after planting a stem fragment of sugarcane having only one node.【課題】サトウキビ畑において、サトウキビに対して問題となる薬害を引き起こすことなく、雑草に対して優れた防除効果を発揮する方法を提供すること。【解決手段】サトウキビ畑における有害生物の防除方法であって、節をひとつだけ有するサトウキビの茎断片を植えつける前の畑又は植え付けた後の畑に、アメトリン、アトラジン、シマジン、アラクロール、メトラクロール、Ｓ－メトラクロール、アシュラム、メトリブジン、トリフルラリン、ペンディメタリン、テブチウロン、ジウロン、ヘキサジノン、アミカルバゾン、イマザピック、トリフロキシスルフロンナトリウム塩、ヨードスルフロンメチルナトリウム塩、ハロスルフロンメチル、エトキシスルフロン、カルフェントラゾンエチル、イソキサフルトール、ビシクロピロン、ピクロラム及びその塩及びそのエステル、２，４－Ｄ及びその塩及びエステル、ジカンバ及びその塩及びエステル、クロマゾン、ＭＳＭＡ、パラコート、ジクワット、グルホシネート、グルホシネートアンモニウム塩、グルホシネート－Ｐ及びその塩、並びにグリホサート及びその塩からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも１種の除草剤を処理する方法。【選択図】なし
