The method includes the steps of providing an ultrasonic device that emits ultrasonic energy, maintaining the ultrasonic instrument in a location outside the trabecular network, transmitting the ultrasonic energy at a frequency to a desired location by a predetermined time, the displacement of material formed in the trabecular meshwork, and heat generation that initiates biochemical changes in the eye.TRATAMENTO ULTRA-SâNICO DE GLAUCOMA. É aqui descrito um método de tratamento de glaucoma. O método inclui as etapas de fornecimento de um dispositivo ultra-sônico que emite energia ultra-sônica, a manutenção do instrumento ultra-sônico em uma localização externa à rede trabecular, a transmissão da energia ultra-sônica em uma freqúência até uma localização desejada por um tempo predeterminado, o deslocamento de material formado na rede trabecular, e a geração de calor que inicia alterações bioquímicas no olho.
