A composition of the present invention represents effects in alleviating and treating an evoked pain and in preventing a pain by injecting to an object before evoking the pain. The composition of the present invention significantly represents a pain alleviating effect through an oral administration but not through a method such as an intravenous injection or a skin application, etc. The composition of the present invention having the same properties has a high applicability to food.본 발명은 천수근 및 가시오가피 복합추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 통증의 완화, 예방 또는 치료용 조성물을 제공한다. 본 발명의 조성물은 기 발생된 통증에 대해 완화 및 치료 효과를 가질 뿐 아니라 통증이 발생하기 이전에 대상에 투여하면 통증을 예방하는 효과를 나타낸다. 본 발명의 조성물은 정맥주사 또는 피부 도포 등의 방법이 아닌 경구 투여를 통해서도 현저한 통증 완화 효과를 나타내며, 이러한 특징을 갖는 본 발명의 조성물은 식품에 적용 가능성이 높다.
