A method and apparatus for processing a medical image are disclosed. The method for processing a medical image according to an embodiment of the present invention includes； a step of acquiring a differential image in regard to a region of interest before and after injecting a contrast medium to a blood vessel； a step of identifying a first region which includes the blood vessel and a second region which does not include the blood vessel by using the acquired differential image； a step of acquiring a first medical image regarding the region of interest； a step of removing a noise of the first medical image by applying a first parameter to the first region of the first medical image and a second parameter to the second region； and a step of mixing the differential image with the first medical image wherein the noise is removed.의료 영상 처리 방법 및 그 장치가 개시된다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 의료 영상 처리 방법은 혈관에 조영제를 투입하기 전과 후의 관심 영역에 대한 차 영상을 획득하는 단계； 상기 획득된 차 영상을 이용하여 상기 혈관을 포함하는 제1 영역과 상기 혈관을 포함하지 않는 제2 영역을 식별하는 단계； 상기 관심 영역에 대한 제1 의료 영상을 획득하는 단계； 상기 제1 의료 영상의 상기 제1 영역에 제1 파라미터를 적용하고 상기 제2 영역에 제2 파라미터를 적용하여 상기 제1 의료 영상의 노이즈를 제거하는 단계； 및 상기 차 영상을 상기 노이즈가 제거된 상기 제1 의료 영상에 혼합하는 단계를 포함한다.
