Provided herein are genetically modified arenaviruses suitable as vaccines against neoplastic disease or cancer. The present invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions and methods for the prevention or treatment of certain infections that cause neoplastic diseases or cancer, such as infection by oncogenic viruses. Specifically provided herein are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) such as cervical cancer, anogenital cancer, head and neck cancer and skin cancer and associated with infection by human papillomavirus (HPV) Pharmaceutical compositions, vaccines, and methods for preventing or treating diseases and conditions.
