The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and a health functional food for preventing and treating male infertility. More specifically, an onion peel extract of the present invention increases sperm motility through an experiment of an evaluation method of effects in increasing in-vitro human sperm motility. The extract of the present invention through the evaluation method of an in-vivo varicocele animal model increases sperm motility in semen obtained from a seminal duct in a sample administration group of varicocele generating groups. The number of sperms is increased in an epididymis. The onion peel extract can be efficiently used for a health supplement food, a health functional food, and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating male infertility.본 발명은 남성 불임증의 예방 및 치료용 약학 조성물 및 건강기능식품에 관한 것으로, 상세하게는 양파 껍질 추출물이 시험관내 사람 정자 운동 증진 효능 평가법 실험을 통하여 본 발명의 추출물이 정자 운동성을 증가시킴을 확인하였으며, 생체내 정계 정맥류 동물모델 평가법을 통하여 본 발명의 추출물이 정계 정맥류 유발군 중 시료 투여군의 정관에서 얻어진 정액에서 정자 운동성이 증가함을 확인하였고, 부고환에서 정사 수가 증가함을 확인함으로써, 양파 껍질 추출물이 남성 불임증의 예방 및 치료를 위한 약학 조성물, 건강기능식품 및 건강보조식품에 유용하게 이용될 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다.
