PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus which has a simple structure for recording image data on which additional data are superimposed at a high speed.
SOLUTION: A CPU 107 outputs control signals to a switching part 109 and sets an input of the switching part 109 as an input A. In this state, image data for one frame is stored in an image memory 103. Then, the CPU 107 outputs control signals to the switching part 109 and sets an input of the switching part 109 as an input B. The image data is read out of the image memory 103 and is output to a superimposing part 104. The additional data is superimposed on the image data by the superimposing part 104, and is output to a display part 105. At the same time, the image data on which the additional data are superimposed is also output to the switching part 109 and is stored in the image memory 103. The CPU 107 reads out the image data from the image memory 103 and outputs it to an external recording interface I/F108.
