The present invention relates to a method for preventing storage disease of onions and, more specifically, to a method for reducing decay caused by storage disease of onions through fumigation with thymol. According to the present invention, storage of onions as treating thymol with fumigation has effects in preventing pathogenic bacteria of storage disease of onions to significantly reduce a decay rate and in preventing storage disease of onions such as Botrytis cinerea to reduce economic damage of a storage warehouse.본 발명은 양파의 저장병 방제 방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 티몰 훈증을 통해 양파의 저장병에 의한 부패를 감소시키는 방법에 관한 것이다.상기와 같은 본 발명에 따르면, 티몰을 훈증 처리하여 양파를 보관함으로써, 양파의 저장병 병원균을 방제하여 부패율을 현저히 감소시키고 잿빛곰팡이병과 같은 양파의 저장병을 방제하여 저장 창고의 경제적인 피해를 감소시키는 효과가 있다.
