PURPOSE: An ion generating device and an air cleaning system using the same are provided to maintain indoor air clean by controlling ion generation amount according to dust amount, a relative humidity, and an air quality and get rid of toxic gas.CONSTITUTION: An air cleaning system comprises a ventilation device(100), an ion generating device(300), sensors(400), and a controlling device(200). The ventilation device performs ventilation between inner and outer spaces by opening and closing according to control signals of the controlling device. The sensors measure dust amount, a relative humidity, and an air quality of the surrounding environment.
