PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for accurately determining drowsiness using data of a pulse in a napping state.SOLUTION: A drowsiness detection device 100 acquires pulse data from a vehicle 10 that a subject drives and records it. The drowsiness detection device 100 calculates a drowsiness index based on the pulse data. The drowsiness detection device 100 determines a napping period of the subject based on a part in which a change in the drowsiness index coincides with a predetermined feature pattern, and calculates a threshold for determining a drowsiness level of the subject based on the pulse data acquired from the subject in the napping period.
