PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical long member which can implement smooth movement in a pulmonary airway and has excellent operability.SOLUTION: A long member 10 includes: a hollow bend 20 which is arranged on the tip side of the long member and is capable of being bent by bending operation a hollow approach support part 40 arranged on the base end side of the bend and a hollow main body part 50 which has flexibility and extends to the base end side of the approach support part. The bend is formed so as to: have a length which is equal to or larger than 10 mm and equal to or smaller than 60 mm and have an outer diameter which is equal to or larger than 2.0 mm and equal to or smaller than 4.5 mm. The approach support part is formed so as to have a length which is equal to or larger than 10 mm.【課題】肺気道内における円滑な移動を実現し得る操作性に優れた医療用の長尺部材を提供する。【解決手段】長尺部材10は、その先端側に配置され、湾曲操作により湾曲可能な中空状の湾曲部20と、湾曲部の基端側に設けられた中空状の進入補助部40と、進入補助部の基端側に延在する可撓性を備える中空状の本体部50と、を有しており、湾曲部は、10mm以上60mm以下の長さで形成され、かつ、2.0mm以上4.5mm以下の外径で形成されており、進入補助部は、10mm以上の長さで形成されている。【選択図】図2
