A rotary mechanism uses a rolling element (50), an outer-ring housing member (501) and an inner-ring housing member (502). The outer-ring housing member (501) or the inner-ring housing member (502) is divided thicknesswise into two parts (501a,501b,502a,502b), to have a gap at between the two-divided parts of the housing member. Due to this, slide resistance can be caused by deforming the rolling element received in the outer-ring and inner-ring housing members.
