PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technique to obtain royal jelly having &alpha；-glucosidase inhibitory action.SOLUTION: A method of producing royal jelly having &alpha；-glucosidase inhibitory action includes the steps of causing protease derived from Bacillus subtilis to act on royal jelly, and causing pancreatin to act thereon. There are also provided a royal jelly composition and a hypoglycemic agent containing the royal jelly obtained by the production method.
