The invention relates to a method for operating a technical medical system during a medical procedure, wherein a parameter correlated with the quality of the performance of the procedure is continuously registered while the procedure is being performed, the parameter is evaluated based on a quality criterion correlated with the procedures fault-free performance, and an auxiliary procedure for the medical procedure is initiated as soon as the parameter has violated the quality criterion. The invention also relates to a technical medical system for performing a medical procedure according to the inventive method.
