PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water drinking action measuring apparatus capable of detecting licking and sucking distinctively, detecting the depth of licking and sucking, detecting the intensity of sucking, and also detecting a timing when a reward is given.SOLUTION: In a water drinking action measuring apparatus including a thermistor A provided on the pipe inside of a suction opening pipe of liquid, and a plurality of thermistor arrays (including a thermistor array B provided on the suction opening pipe lower surface and a thermistor array C provided on the suction opening pipe upper surface) on the periphery of the suction opening pipe, sucking and licking, each depth and intensity thereof, and further a timing of a reward given by an experimenter are detected distinctively by observing a combination of each temperature detection pattern of the thermistor A and the thermistor arrays, and the magnitude of the change thereof.
