The present invention relates to a method for a preparation of a solidcomposition comprising the steps of a)dissolving a premix in a premix-solvent, or melting a premix, wherein thepremix contains a pesticide and a nonionic, amphiphilicpolyalkoxylate, b) solidifying the premix by removing the premix-solvent, orby cooling, and c) contacting the premix with at leastone auxiliary. The invention further relates to a solid composition obtainableby said method； to a method for the preparation of anaqueous tank mix, in which a pesticide is present as suspended particleshaving a particle size below 1,0 .mum, comprising the step ofmixing water and a solid composition obtainable by the said method； and to amethod for controlling phytopathogenic fungi and/orundesired plant growth and/or undesired attack by insects or mites and/or forregulating the growth of plants, where a solidcomposition obtainable by said method is allowed to act on the particularpests, their habitat or the plants to be protected from the particularpest, the soil and/or on undesired plants and/or the useful plants and/ortheir habitat.
