PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out a light-emitting chemical compound inducing the emission of near-infrared light exhibiting excellent light transmission properties and to provide a highly sensitive analysis method of a superoxide anion using the light-emitting compound.
SOLUTION: The light-emitting compound emitting near-infrared light comprises imidazo[1,2-a]pyrazin-3-ones covalently bonded to indocyanines. The compound is employed as an effective ingredient of a reagent for superoxide anion spectrometric analysis to detect a superoxide anion as near-infrared light.
