A cartridge assembly with brackets for use with a surgical stapling instrument, wherein said cartridge assembly with brackets is adapted to be used with a tissue having a thickness, said cartridge assembly with brackets comprising: a cartridge housing comprising a supporting portion, said supporting portion comprising a plurality slots for brackets, and each specified slot for the bracket contains a hole； many brackets, and at least a portion of each specified bracket is removably stored inside the specified slot for the bracket, each the stapled bracket is movable between an inactive position and an activated position, and each said bracket is capable of deformation between an inactive configuration and an activated configuration when each specified bracket moves between the specified inactive position and the specified inactive position； compressible tissue thickness compensator made with the ability to capture these staples inside, and the specified compressible compensator tissue thickness at least at least partially covers the indicated openings of the nests for the brackets, and wherein said compressible tissue thickness compensator is configured to receive different heights in a compressed state inside different said brackets, said compressible thickness compensator comprising a bioresorbable hydrophobic substance. 2.
