PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound covering material by which a wet environment required for growth of epidermal cells is formed quickly and a wound healing process is promoted by elution of a component for promoting a wound healing and a component having antibacterial property from a glass fiber, and which comprises antibacterial property for preventing critical fixation of bacterial to a wound surface, and infection.SOLUTION: The wound covering material is formed of a composite of a gel formation fiber formed of a hygroscopic polymer and a glass fiber comprising BOand CaO as glass constitution components.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】表皮細胞の増殖に必要な湿潤環境が迅速に形成され、ガラス繊維から創傷治癒を促進する成分と抗菌性を有する成分が溶出することによって創傷治癒プロセスを促進し、創面への細菌の臨界的定着、感染防止可能な殺菌性を有する創傷被覆材を提供する。【解決手段】吸湿性高分子から成るゲル形成繊維と、ガラス構成成分としてＢ２Ｏ３とＣａＯを含有するガラス繊維との複合体からなることを特徴とする。【選択図】なし
