The present invention relates to a composition which inhibits the MEIS protein and is effective for the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells. The present invention provides an agent capable of easily passing through a cell membrane to perform its action in a cell and capable of inhibiting the action of the MEIS protein in a dose-dependent manner. Further, the present invention can induce the proliferation of x-rays of mouse, human umbilical cord blood and human bone marrow HSCs.
