PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core material for manufacture of catheter tubes by which a safe catheter tube with sufficient lubricity can be easily obtained.SOLUTION: While applying a tensile load in the longitudinal direction on one end of a fine metal line 3 with a polygonal section, the other end part in the longitudinal direction of the fine metal line 3 is gripped and rotated by a chuck 2 of a lath 1 to apply twist working on the fine metal line 3. Then distortion by the working is removed and the fine metal line 3 is heat-treated for softening. A pasty resin composition is coated on the twisted fine metal line as a core material. After the resin composition is hardened, the core material is extracted out from the resin coating to obtain a catheter tube comprising a hollow resin coating.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【課題】安全で且つ潤滑性に富んだカテーテルチューブを容易に得ることができるカテーテルチューブ製造用芯材の提供。【解決手段】多角形断面を有する金属細線3の長手方向の一方の端部を荷重4に接続し、金属細線3の長手方向に引張り荷重を付与しながら金属細線3の長手方向の他方の端部を旋盤1のチャック2でつかんで回転駆動部5により金属細線3を回転させることによって金属細線3にねじり加工を施し、その後、加工に伴う歪みを除去するとともに軟化のために金属細線3に熱処理を施す。このねじりを付与された金属細線を芯材としてペースト状樹脂組成物によって被覆し、樹脂組成物の硬化後、上記芯材を樹脂被膜より抜脱して中空樹脂被膜からなるカテーテルチューブを得る。【選択図】図1
