The present invention relates to a novel gene sequence and a protein sequence of bursaphelenchus xylophilus expansin of pine tree nematode and a diagnostic composition for pine wilt disease, and a pharmaceutical composition to prevent and treat pine wilt disease using the same. The inventors of the present invention refer two novel expansin genes identified from an expression sequence tag database of bursaphelenchus xylophilus expansin of pine tree nematode to Bx-EXPB2 and Bx-EXPB3. Novel genes of Bx-EXPBs is coded with 150 amino acids, and when compared with the existing Bx-EXPB1of bursaphelenchus xylophilus expansin, the similarity of the coded sequence is 70.7-84.0%.
