The invention relates to medicine and specifically to gastroenterology, and is concerned with fasting-diet therapy. A saline laxative is administered to the patient and food intake is ceased. Beginning the first day of fasting, 1.5-2 liters of purified water are introduced daily in equal portions, and at the end of the day a cleansing enema is given consisting of 1.5-2 liters of purified water having 10 drops of colloidal silver per 1 liter. A psychotherapeutic conversation is held every day, as well as walks of 30-40 minutes 2-3 times per day and gymnastics according to the Japanese system of Nishi. Beginning the second day of fasting, over the course of 16 days, every day at 7:30 the patient is administered 1/3 of a teaspoon of plant organic sorbent in a glass of water, which, a half-hour later, is followed by drinking a glass of water.
