PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent soil in a field from sticking to a rotating roller for pressurizing a soil cover in relation to a technique for covering a seed sugarcane with soil and then pressurizing the soil cover when the sugarcane is planted. SOLUTION: An apparatus is designed to drop the seed sugarcane in a furrow dug with each spade, cover the seed sugarcane with the soil and then pressurize the soil cover with the rotating roller 16. In the apparatus, a structure in which the rotating roller is connected to a drive source with chains C51, C52, or the like, is provided so as to rotate the rotating roller 16 at a higher speed than the number of running revolutions. The rotating roller 16 is rotated at the high speed relatively to the soil cover. Thereby, the soil cover cannot be stuck to the rotating roller 16. The apparatus is provided with a structure for drawing two sets of the apparatuses with one tractor, digging the plurality of furrows and carrying out planting.
