A metering system for an agricultural system includes an inductor. Theinductor includes a receiving portion configured to receive plantlet casingsat a feedrate, a conduit coupled to the receiving portion and configured to receive theplantletcasings from the receiving portion, where the conduit is configured to conveytheplantlet casings to at least one row unit, an air source fluidly coupled tothe conduitand configured to provide an air flow through the conduit to convey theplantletcasings to the at least one row unit, and a physical feature configured toblock flow ofthe plantlet casings toward the air source.
