PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device that does not restrict the movement of an ambulatory person, irrespective of physical intensity of the activity and which provides an indication of the physical welfare of the person.SOLUTION: A monitoring device wearable by a person to be monitored is provided, comprising: one or more sensing means for sensing cardio, respiratory, physiological and/or other information from the person； processing means for analyzing the sensed information； memory means for storing the sensed and/or analyzed information； and communication means for transmitting at least the analyzed information.
