A compound having antiestrogenic activity is used in a method for the treatment of BC or other estrogen-responsive tumors in a human patient, wherein the method comprises subjecting the patient to a fasting mimicking diet for a period of 24- 190 hours while the patient is being treated with the compound having antiestrogenic activity, which can be a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM), a selective estrogen receptor downregulator (SERD) or an aromatase inhibitor (AI).La présente invention concerne un composé ayant une activité antiestrogène qui est utilisé dans un procédé pour le traitement du cancer du sein ou d'autres tumeurs sensibles aux œstrogènes chez un patient humain, le procédé comprenant la soumission du patient à un régime mimant le jeûne pendant une durée de 24 à 190 heures tandis que le patient est traité avec le composé ayant une activité antiestrogène, qui peut être un modulateur sélectif de récepteur des œstrogènes (SERM), un régulateur négatif sélectif de récepteur des œstrogènes (SERD) ou un inhibiteur d'aromatase (AI).
