PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present apparatus, systems and methods for detecting and monitoring fall-down actions and other transient motions.SOLUTION: A system including a processor 202, a memory 204 communicably coupled to the processor, and instructions stored in the memory to monitor transient motions in a venue is disclosed. The system comprises a transmitter 212, a receiver 214, and a transient motion monitor. The transmitter is configured to transmit a wireless signal affected by a transient motion of an object in the venue. The receiver receives the wireless signal and obtains a time series of channel information (TSCI) based on the wireless signal.
