Preferably, the composition comprises Desmodium adscendens or Desmodium gangeticum and chromium chloride, nicotinate or picolinate. It is formulated alone or with other active ingredients, excipients or additives, to be administered orally as a drug, phyto-drug, medical device, food supplement or mixed with a food product, for the prevention or treatment of degenerative pathology of the retina.
