Liquid pharmaceutical compositions that spontaneously form lipidic particulate dispersions when added to aqueous media, comprising at least one hydrophobic active pharmaceutical ingredient for human use, veterinary use or a nutraceutical, at least one lipid, and one or more surfactants, solubilised in a combination of aprotic and protic solvents wherein not less than 80% of the active ingredient is entrapped in the lipidic particulate dispersion formed. Said compositions can be administered by oral, parenteral, ophthalmic routes. The compositions for oral and ophthalmic administration may additionally comprise mucoadhesive agents.
