PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a signal from being returned from the outside of a region of interest in a parallel imaging method.
SOLUTION: RF shield is added so that RF is not applied to the area outside of the region of interest. Alternatively a pulse sequence is changed to use 180° pulse having spatial selectivity in the phase encoding direction. When parallel imaging is not performed, if an imaging condition that a returned signal 703 does not overlap a region 705 of interest, the distribution of sensitivity of a receiving coil where return occurs in the above imaging condition is used, and a returned image is obtained only in similar case to the case where parallel imaging is not performed.
