PURPOSE: A medicinal composition containing killed bacteria of Lactobacillus acidoohilus LB is provided to reduce total IgE content in blood and to prevent and treat allergic diseases and non- IgE-mediated allergic diseases. CONSTITUTION: A medicinal composition for treating or preventing allergic diseases contains killed bacteria of Lactobacillus acidoohilus LB strain as an active ingredient. The killed bacteria are a culture medium containing tyndallized killed bacteria or freeze-dried material of the culture medium. The medicinal composition is applied by oral administration.
