PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harvester in which stop operation can be made instantly by a switch capable of stopping a working unit in a lump, and a gear shift lever is disposed so that the switching operation may not interfere during forward travel.SOLUTION: A harvester is characterized by: providing a working unit comprising a base cutter 3, a side cutter 16, a top cutter 17, a pre-transport device 4, a post-transport device 5, a chopping device 6 and a sorting apparatus 7 in a machine body frame 30 also, providing a steering unit 9 in a front part of the machine body frame 30 and disposing a drivers seat 40 in the steering unit 9 and disposing a main gear shift lever 90 in the side of the drivers seat 40. The main gear shift lever 90 can be shifted along a lever guide 90a for guiding the turning to the longitudinal direction in the forward side and reverse side.
