PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow long body and a hollow long body kit, which can remove a blood clot or the like positioned radially around a hollow long body such as a sheath or a catheter.SOLUTION: A catheter 2 as a tubular hollow long member 1 to be inserted into a human body is formed with an opening 3 extending from an outer circumference to an inner circumference, and an opening area S1 of the opening 3 on an outer circumference is larger than an opening area S2 of the opening 3 on an inner circumference. If the opening area S1 on the outer circumference of the opening 3 is made larger than the opening area S2 on the inner circumference, a suction force through the opening 3 can be made higher in the case where a suction apparatus is attached to a near position of the catheter 2 so as to suck a foreign matter such as a blood clot in a blood vessel than that of the case, in which the opening is simply formed into a columnar shape.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】シースやカテーテル等の中空長尺体の径方向の周囲に位置する血栓等を除去することが可能な中空長尺体及び中空長尺体キットを提供する。【解決手段】体内へと挿入される管状の中空長尺体1としてのカテーテル2であって、外周面から内周面に貫通する開口3が設けられ、外周面上での開口3の開口面積S1は、内周面上での開口3の開口面積S2よりも大きい。このように、開口3の外周面上の開口面積S1を内周面上の開口面積S2よりも大きくすると、開口を単に円柱状にする場合に比べて、カテーテル2の近位端に吸引装置を取り付けて血管内の血栓等の異物を吸引する場合には、開口3を通じた吸引力を高めることができる。【選択図】図1
