PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide basket forceps capable of being inserted into a target portion easily while preventing a guide wire and an enlarged elastic wire from interfering with each other.SOLUTION: Basket forceps 10 include: an operation wire 22 inserted into a sheath 12 and connected to an elastic wire 26 a tip 28 attached at a tip of the elastic wire 26 and including a through hole 25 and a guide wire lumen 16 including an opening 17 located on a base end side with respect to a tip of the sheath 12 with an interval. The sheath 12 and elastic wire 26 can be reliably guided by the guide wire 30 passing through the through hole 25 and guide wire lumen 16.
