Provided is a skin cleansing agent which is mild on the skin, exhibits excellent foamability, does not leave a feeling of tightness on the skin after cleansing, does not contaminate a container by being drawn out into threads at the time of use, and exhibits excellent temporal stability. The skin cleansing agent contains crystalline cellulose having an average particle size of equal to or less than 100 µm, polyquaternium-7, a higher fatty acid salt having 8 to 22 carbon atoms, and a polyol.
