PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing or reducing adverse effects such as profuse sweating, nausea and vomiting, which normally are associated with a subcutaneous and intravenous administration of glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) therapy for diabetes mellitus and/or hyperglycemia associated with Type 2 diabetes mellitus.SOLUTION: A method for treating hyperglycemia comprises administering, by pulmonary administration or the like to a subject having a fasting blood glucose greater than about 7 mmol/L, an inhalable dry powder formulation comprising a therapeutically effective amount of GLP-1 molecules and a diketopiperazine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.【課題】２型糖尿病に関連する高血糖症及び／又は糖尿病のためのグルカゴン様ペプチド１（ＧＬＰ－１）の皮下及び静脈内投与療法に通常関連する大量発汗、悪心及び嘔吐などの有害作用を予防又は減少させる方法の提供。【解決手段】約７ｍｍｏｌ／Ｌ超の空腹時血糖値を有する対象に治療的有効量のＧＬＰ－１分子及びジケトピペラジン又はその薬学的に許容される塩を含んでなる、吸入可能な乾燥粉末製剤を肺投与等により投与する高血糖症を治療する方法。【選択図】図１
