PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for sterilizing sardine larvae and juveniles, for attaching hydrogen peroxide so as not to lower freshness without taking measures of lowering freshness, by finding out that sardine larvae and juveniles themselves have strong catalase activity, and decomposing attached hydrogen peroxide in a short time without forcibly taking measures of promoting oxidation.
SOLUTION: This method for sterilizing the sardine larvae and juveniles includes attaching hydrogen peroxide to the sardine larvae and juveniles as a preliminary treatment of boiling processing the sardine larvae and juveniles, and oxidation decomposing away hydrogen peroxide attached to the sardine larvae and juveniles after a fixed time to decompose in oxidation by catalase activity of the sardine larvae and juveniles themselves.
