PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively emit white light including laser light and emission light excited by fluorescence and the light in a specific narrow visible wavelength range by simple structure while making the structure compact.
SOLUTION: A light source device comprises: a first light source 33 for emitting first laser light with a first wavelength as the central wavelength an optical fiber 21 for transmitting the first laser light and a first wavelength converting material disposed on the light emission side of the optical fiber 21 to be excited by the first laser light to emit light. The light source device obtains the white light by mixing the first laser light with the excited emission light from the first wavelength converting material. The light source device also comprises a second light source 35 for emitting second laser light with a second wavelength shorter than the first wavelength as the central wavelength an optical coupling means 39 for introducing the second laser light into a light path on the incident light side of the optical fiber and a second wavelength converting material disposed in the front of the light path from the light emission side of the optical fiber 21 to be excited by the second laser light to emit light in a specific visible wavelength range longer than the second wavelength.
