PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system which can capture a high quality image without dispersion in luminance while stopping an unaimed heat rise in a section to which illumination light is irradiated and an electronic endoscope system.
SOLUTION: The imaging system has an intermittent light generation means which continuously forms intermittent light blinking intermittently, an imaging means which images a subject illuminated with the intermittent light, and a control means which controls the intermittent light generation means and the imaging means so that electric charge storage operation by the imaging means is carried out within a stable illumination period when each intermittent light always and stably illuminates the subject.
