Herbicidal compositions comprising and methods of controlling desirable vegetation utilizing 4-amino-3-chloro-6-(4-chloro-2-fluoro- 3-methoxypheny 1 )pyridine-2-carboxy lie acid or an agriculturally acceptable ester, amide, or salt thereof and (b) fluroxypyr or an agriculturally acceptable ester, amide, or salt thereof. The compositions may also contain an agriculturally acceptable adjuvant or carrier. The compositions and methods may also be employed in combination with known herbicide safeners, including, but not limited to, cloquintocet (e.g., acid or mexyl). The species spectra of the pyridine carboxylic acid of formula (I) or ester, amide, or salt thereof and fluroxypyr or ester, amide, or salt thereof, i.e., the weed species which the respective compounds control, are broad and highly complementary.La presente invención se refiere a composiciones herbicidas que contienen, y los métodos para controlar la vegetación indeseable utilizando ácido de 4-amino-3-cloro-6-(4-cloro-2-flúor-3-metoxifen il)piridina-2-carboxílico, o un éster, una amida, o una sal agrícolamente aceptable del mismo y (b) fluroxipir, o un éster, amida, o sal del mismo agrícolamente aceptables.
