Disclosed are: a concentrated detergent composition which is easy to handle before and after the dilution with water and a process for producing the composition.Specifically disclosed is a concentrated liquid detergent composition comprising (A) an anionic surfactant, (B) an amphoteric surfactant, (C) 5 to 15 mass% of a monohydric or dihydric alcohol, (D) 8 to 18 mass% of a nonionic surfactant having an IOB value of 0.8 to 1.1 and a molecular weight of 500 or less, and (E) 45 mass% or less of water. The composition is characterized in that the sum total of the amounts of the components (A) and (B) is 40 to 60 mass%, the ratio of the content of the component (C) to the content of the component (D) (i.e., a (C):(D) ratio) is 3.5:1 to 1:2.5, and that the composition can have a viscosity of 300 mPa·s or more at 30°C when the composition is so diluted as to have a concentration of each of the components (A) and (B) of 15 mass%.Linvention porte sur : une composition concentrée de détergent qui est facile à manipuler avant et après la dilution par de leau et un procédé pour la production de la composition.
